Established by former slaves in 1834, and part of the Connectional African Methodist Episcopal Church, Campbell A.M.E. was built in 1888 and named after Bishop Jabez Pitt Campbell, the Eighth Bishop of the AME Church.
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. The third day he arose from the dead, he ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty: from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the church universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.
You will find it is a place where you will be fed by the Lord and uplifted with His Word. Service starts at 11 am and is ministered by Rev. Tracey Thomas, Pastor.
At Campbell A.M.E we hold Bible study on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. This is a time when you can dive deeper into the Bible and get your questions answered when it comes to growing your faith!
Campbell A.M.E. operates a weekly soup kitchen for locals on Wednesdays. It opens at 11:30 am and closes at 12:30 pm. If you come, please enter at 20 Prince Street South door.
For this project, the WMS have been collecting milk bags and crochet them together to make milk bag mats for the homeless to sleep on.
Every Sunday morning before service at 9:30 am, we have the opportunity for adults and children to be lead by our teachers, brother Ryan, and one of our sisters. Join us in a daily word!
